On 25th April, people across the glob rake part in wide range of activities to mark world malaria day.

Around globally, 3.3 billion people in 106 countries are facing risk of malaria. In 2009, 781 000 people died from malaria, mainly women and children in Africa.

World Malaria Day is established in May 2007 by the World Health Assembly the decision-making body of the World Health Organization(WHO). It as established to understand of malaria.

World Book Day and Copyright Day

World Book Day and Copyright Day which is also known as International world book day celebrated on 23 April. The event is organised by UNESCO to promote reading, writing and copyright.

The World Book day was first time celebrate on 23 April 1995.

In the UK, World Book Day is celebrated annually on the first Thursday in March, to avoid the established international 23 April date due to clashes with Easter school holidays, and National Saint's Day of England, St George's Day which celebrated on same 23 April.

Queen Elizabeth Birthday

Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary) actually born on 21st March 1926. But the birthday is celebrated each year in the UK on a weekend in June for purely practical reasons. The day usually presents more acceptable weather for a public party!

This year it will take place on Saturday 8 June 2013.

How is The Queen's real birthday marked? 
To mark the real borthday of The Queen, a 41 gun royal salute is fired by the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery in Hyde Park at 12:00 noon. There is also a 62-gun royal salute fired by the Honourable Artillery Company at the Tower of London at 1:00pm. Gun salutes are customarily fired, both on shore and at sea, as a sign of respect or welcome.

Trooping the Colour is carried out by fully trained and operational troops from the Household Division (Foot Guards and Household Cavalry) on Horse Guards Parade in Whitehall, watched by members of the Royal Family, invited guests and members of the public.

St George's Day in England celebrated on 23rd April in England remembers St George, England's patron saint.
According to legend, he was a soldier in the Roman army who killed a dragon and saved a princess.
